Black Gold Pump & Supply, Inc. has been designing & manufacturing sucker rod pumps for the oil & gas industry since 1982. The company is known in the industry for our quality, innovation & the ability to customise solutions to meet customer's well conditions. Explore the full range of insert pumps, tubing pumps and our specialty pump range. Also, learn about our innovative technology standard on our pumps.
Insert Pumps
Insertable inside the tubing and ran as an assembled unit with the sucker rods. The pump is anchored into the pump seating nipple via a cup type or mechanical type seating. The rod pump is removed from the tubing when the sucker rod string is pulled.
Tubing pumps are directly connected to the tubing, plungers are connected to the rod string. Tubing pumps produce a higher production rate compared to insert pumps and are known to handle solids & gas more effectively and improve pump efficiencies.
Designed & engineered to solve tough pumping conditions that are above the capabilities of the standard API 11AX pumps. These specialty pumps are designed for high solids & sand pumping, gas interference, high production requirements and more.
Insert pumps are installed by running in hole with the rod string. Once the pump reaches the desired pump depth, the hold down assembly seals with the tubing by seating into the hold down nipple. From there, your production fluids are effectively sealed from the reservoir fluid and pumping can begin. To remove the pump, simply pull the rod string out of hole.

RHA PUMPS
RHA Pumps are heavy wall barrel top hold-down type insert pumps. Available in both cup & mechanical hold down.
Tubing pumps are installed by running in hole with the tubing string. Depending on the size and style of this pump, the plunger assembly is installed with the rod string or is already inside the pump with an On/Off Tool. In conjunction with the size and style of this pump, the standing valve assembly is either installed as a retrievable and is installed similar to the Insert Pumps, or it is stationary and is already installed with the pump. These pumps are best for rugged well conditions that need large production and are also ideal for horizontal wells; since there is no seating nipple to set/unset and is rod spacing friendly.

Introduction
Fixed type tubing pumps standing valve assembly is attached below the pump barrel as part of the tubing string. A larger valve can be installed than with a retrievable type but the tubing must be pulled in order to repair it. When barrel repairs are required on a tubing pump, the entire tubing string must be pulled.
The retrievable type standing valve rests in a cup-type or mechanical type seating nipple at the bottom of the tubing string. This can be removed with the sucker string by means of a puller pin assembly which is permanently attached to the lower end of the plunger.
General Specifications
The "TH" is an API all precision heavy wall metal barrel
The barrel is connected to the bottom of the tubing, becoming a part of the tubing string
The "TH" pump is made for higher volumes and pressures
Extensions can be added to both top and bottom of the barrel, where proper spacing will allow it to be a stroke through pump
Barrels available in hardened and honed, brass, steel chrome ID, and NiCarb
TH PUMPS
Black Gold Pump & Supply’s Tubing Pumps are designed for more rugged well conditions such as higher volumes, deeper wells, and higher pressures. Maximum production can be expected with this type in relation to the size of tubing.
They are also ideal for deep horizontal well applications since there is no seating mechanism. These pumps come standard with double valves and full open cages, with the Impact-Resistant (IR) cages also available up request. A knock drain with a brass plug is available, which is actuated by pulling the plunger assembly and dropping a bar downhole.
Black Gold Pump & Supply’s Tubing Pumps are designed for more rugged well conditions such as deeper wells and higher pressures. By featuring a barrel installed inside a joint of tubing, the TW-style pump is well protected from physical damage while running in hole and experiences no burst-inducing differential pressure during operation (similar to a bottom hold-down insert pump).
These pumps come standard with double valves, full open cages, and typically utilizes a knock-out drain that is actuated by pulling the plunger assembly and
Black Gold Pump & Supply’s OTP (Oversized Tubing Pump) is designed for high-volume applications where the pump bore is larger than the tubing ID. The pump utilizes Black Gold’s Impact-Resistant cages, which offers superior durability and chemical resistance
when compared to conventional hard-lined cages.
To engage the pump, an on/off tool is used to attach the rod string and can be detached to pull rods out of hole. In addition, other design optimizations enable Black Gold’s OTP to mitigate many adverse effects associated with high-volume rod pumping.
